He Who Has An Ear…….

Deut.13:18 “When thou shalt harken to the voice of the Lord thy God,to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day,to do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God”.

We live in a sophisticated age where technology rules. This high-tech living causes us to hear many voices, radio “shock jocks”,television talk show host, and outrageous sitcoms that offer everything but comedy. We are inundated with noise, yet in spite of all that we hear, there are really only two voices to be heard. The voice of the almighty God, and the voice of the enemy, Satan. The bible is full of many who listened to the wrong voices,The Hebrews in the wilderness, Jonah, Job, Hannah, Abraham, Rebekah, and a host of others at one time found themselves listening to the voice of lack and limitations, but they soon heard the voice of God and did what was right.
Both voices come from different forms, through any type of medium. The voice of God may direct you to do that which seems least desirable, while the lure of satan seems to call us to paradise. Many of us have muddled our lives because we have not listened to the right voice. We must remember the devil is a liar, he is incapable of telling the truth. Jesus is our shepherd, He is our provider, He leads us along on this journey, He will take care of us and our every need. Every person is free to listen to what ever voice he/she wishes, but when we confessed to be Christians, we no longer belong to ourselves, and once you’ve chosen there is no turning back, and being His sheep we must hear His voice and obey it. His voice the right voice, tells us that we are to seek out that which serves others as well as ourself. It tells us to put the needs of others before our own. It tells us to love inspite of. It tells us to be Christ like even when all others have fallen away. It tells us to follow Jesus even when the road seems to rough to travel.
If we listen to the wrong voices, we will be full of fear and worry about doing God’s will. The wrong voices fills our head with negative, limited thinking. From the wrong voices we get the what if’s, these are the voices that get us in trouble. The truth is God will take care of us. When we obey the voice of God, he will never bring us to a place and leave us alone.

In Jesus Is Salvation

Acts 13:26 “Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent”.

Paul and Barnabas first preached the gospel to the seed of Abraham, but they contradicted and blasphemed, and therefore, in verse 46, we see that they now were proclaiming the good news to the Gentiles. Let all heed to this warning, let us not refuse the gospel and find it taken away from us. Now is the acceptable day of salvation; when you hear his voice harden not your hearts.” To you is the word of this salvation sent”.

What is the word of this salvation? It is the testimony that Jesus is the promised Savior. The word which promises forgiveness to all who exhibit repentance of sin, and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In a word, it is the proclamation of perfect salvation, through the risen Savior. It is a word, as being spoken by God, and as being his present utterance even at this moment. It is a word which reveals “the word”, Jesus the living word of God. It is a word of salvation; for it declares, describes, presents and presses home salvation. It is a word sent, for the Gospel dispensation is a mission of mercy from God, the gospel message, Jesus the Messiah, and the Holy Ghost himself is sent to work salvation among men. Will you decidedly and honestly refuse it? Will you delay and put off your acceptance of this Free gift? Will you play the hypocrite and pretend to receive it, while in your heart you reject it. Will you be a temporary convert, or will you accept the word of salvation with delight?

Denied When A witness Was needed

John 18:17 “Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, art not thou also one of this man’s disciples? He saith, I am not.

How many times has this happened to you, you’re in a position to bear witness to Christ and you let the pressures of whst is around you to cause you to deny Him.Here we have a cowardly denial,of both the world and Peter.Peter was innocently questioned by the door keeper. Peter denied any association with Jesus. Peter made an attempt to be known as one of the crowd. He joined the crowd, standing around with the many, joining in their activities and conversation.

Too many today deny being associated with Christ. People see us in church or associating with other believers, and when we are asked, we deny any association to Christ. We deny him in the way we live our lives, our love for one another, in our ability and willingness to forgive one another, and give to one another. We deny him on our jobs, at school and in social functions. At the time when a witness is needed many deny Christ in an effort to fit in or be accepted by the crowd, or to hold to a loved one, to keep a position our for a self serving purpose. We deny Him by not learning His doctrine, and by not proclaiming His teachings, we may not verbally deny Him as Peter did, but we deny Him in our actions. The worlds religion allows man to be as he is, do what he wishes and still feel acceptable to God. Just think for a moment! How few religions, how few churches, how few preachers and teachers proclaim the true doctrine of Jesus Christ, and how many of us are willing to hear and accept the truth of His word. When we are confronted with the truth, we say “you are judging me”. We hold to false fables that “God isn’t through with me yet”, although Jesus said from the cross “It is finished”. So few are willing to sacrifice their love for the world and all they have to stand with Jesus, and so we deny Him when a witness is needed.
When we deny Christ we deny the lost the chance afforded us, to know Christ and have a chance at salvation. How can we truly say we love one another, yet deny each other Christ. How can we say that we love the Lord with all our heart ,soul and life, and yet let His blood be trampled under foot, for when a witness is needed, when we need to stand up and speak for Christ, we sometimes hide in the crowd and deny Him.

Is He Calling For You

John 11:28 “And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come and calleth for thee”.

Do you hear Him? God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to save us and so that we could have everlasting life with Him. Now He is calling you to accept this free gift of salvation. Calling you out of a life of sorrow, death and despair into a life of peace, Joy, and happiness. Do you hear the call?

His call is a personal call, He is calling you by name. He is calling you to Himself,” come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” is His call. It is a call to peace, so cast all of your cares upon Him for He cares for you. It is a call to a guilt free conscience as he calls you to a full pardon from sin into a new life with Him. He is calling you through His word, for it is a call of faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. He is calling you to confess your sins for He is faithful and just to forgive your sins. He is calling you to repent of your sins that you might experience a new birth, and have a Holy life an abundant life. He is calling you to live an eternal life with Him in a prepared place, prepared just for you. Jesus is calling you, do you hear His call.

He is calling you because He wants to save you soul, He is calling you from your sorrows, from death, calling you out of darkness into His marvelous light. He is speaking to your heart, He is calling you, will you answer the call?
